What Destination5 stores and why.
1. Data we store
Destination5 stores account details, sector-level routes, departure windows, route preferences, match state, profile information, and verification status. We do not collect GPS history or exact home addresses. Basic usage and security data may be processed by service providers to operate and improve the platform.
2. Verification documents
Information submitted for verification is securely stored, access-restricted, and used only for verification, safety, fraud prevention, and platform integrity.
3. What other commuters see
During route discovery, anonymous or unverified commuters expose route facts and a generic pending state only. When both commuters are verified, role, institution or company, and designation may appear. Email is never shown. Name and phone number appear only after both commuters mark interest, and only while both accounts remain verified.
4. No selling or third-party sharing
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share user data with advertisers, data brokers, or unrelated third parties. There are no ads and no cross-site tracking. Operational providers such as hosting, backups, authentication, and email delivery are used only to run Destination5.
5. Storage and deletion
Deleting your account removes your active profile, routes, and matches. Limited verification records may be retained where necessary to prevent fraud, misuse, and repeat abuse.
